Although we did not plan it this way Home Valley Station turned out to be our last stop on the Gibb River Road as unfortunately we were turned away from El Questro due to a bush fire.
There is quite a large motel type accommodation area at this Station but it did not seem to be open when we were there. There is a large bar and dining area for people staying at the Station and quite a nice pool to cool off in. There are two camping area here. The first is at the Station proper and the second a few kms away on the Pentecost River. We stayed at the Homestead to make use of the pool, bar and restaurant. You cannot cool off in the river.
